Sikkim, state of India, located in the northeastern part of the country, in the eastern Himalayas. It is one of the smallest states in India.

Sikkim is bordered by the Tibet Autonomous Region of China to the north and northeast, by Bhutan to the southeast, by the Indian state of West Bengal to the south, and by Nepal to the west. The capital is Gangtok, in the southeastern part of the state.

Long a sovereign political entity, Sikkim became a protectorate of India in 1950 and an Indian state in 1975. Its small size notwithstanding, Sikkim is of great political and strategic importance for India because of its location along several international boundaries. Area 2,740 square miles (7,096 square km).  607,688.

Sikkim is a basin surrounded on three sides by precipitous mountain walls. There is little lowland, and the variation in relief is extreme. Within a stretch of roughly 50 miles (80 km), the land rises from an elevation of about 750 feet (225 metres) in the Tista River valley to nearly 28,200 feet (8,600 metres) at Kanchenjunga, India’s highest peak and the world’s third highest mountain.

The Singalila Range separates Sikkim from Nepal in the west, while the Dongkya Range forms the border with the Tibet Autonomous Region of China to the east. Several passes across this range afford easy access to the Chumbi valley in Tibet and, beyond the valley, to the Tibetan capital of Lhasa.

  1. Day 1 NJP / IXB – PELLING

    Pelling (5500 Ft / 1675 Mts, 150 Kms / 05 to 06 Hrs drive)

    On arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) (413 Ft / 126 Mts), you will be met by our local representative, who will assist you to board the vehicle to Pelling. On reaching Pelling. Check in and Overnight at hotel.

  2. Day 2 PELLING

    Pelling (5500 Ft / 1675 Mts)

    -After breakfast, proceed for Pelling local sightseeing covering Chenrezig Statue & Skywalk. Post lunch; proceed for sightseeing of Rimbi Water fall, Khecheopalri Lake & Kanchanjunga Water fall. Overnight at hotel.

  3. Day 3 PELLING – GANGTOK

    Gangtok  (5412 Ft / 1650Mts, 116 Kms / 05 to 06 Hrs Drive)

    After breakfast transfer to Gangtok. On reaching Gangtok, check in & overnight at hotel.

    Optional:

    1. Detour for Buddha Park at Ravangla (8000 Ft / 2439 Mts).
    2. Detour for Namchi Chardham (4314 Ft / 1315 Mts).
  4. Day 4 GANGTOK– EXCURSION TO TSHANGU LAKE & NEW BABA MANDIR

    Tshangu Lake (12400Ft / 3780 Mts / 43 Kms / 02 Hrs Drive one way) & New Baba Mandir (13100 Ft / 3994 Mts / 18 Kms / 01 Hrs further drive from Tshangu Lake)

    Today after breakfast, start for full day excursion to Tshangu Lake & New Baba Mandir. Return back to Gangtok. Overnight at hotel.

    Note:

    1. Documents for Tshangu Lake & New Baba Mandir – 02 Passport Size Photo along with Photo Copy of Photo ID Proof (Passport or Driving License or Voter ID (Pan Card & Adhaar Card is not accepted). For Children below 18 years, School Id / College Id are a must. Original to be brought with self while travelling.
    2. Incase visit to Tshangu Lake is not possible, due to landslide or any other unforeseen reasons, alternative sightseeing will be provide.
    3. Process for Foreigner, OCI & PIO Card holder are completely different, kindly inform us well in advance to plan out the itinerary accordingly.

    Optional:

    Nathula Pass (14137 Ft / 4310 Mts) Indo China Border, visit is limited to Indian nationals only, allowed on the basis of advance permit & on extra cost.

  5. Day 5 GANGTOK

    Gangtok (5412 Ft / 1650 Mts)

    Go for a full day sightseeing of Gangtok covering Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, Jhakri Water Fall,   Research Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Saturday & Sunday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays), Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom (Closed on Saturday & Sunday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays) and Flower Show (Closed on Saturday & Sunday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays). Back to hotel & overnight at hotel.

    Note:

    1. Alternative sightseeing of Bakthang Waterfalls & Nam Nang View Point will be provided in place of Research Institute of Tibetology & Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom.
  6. Day 6 GANGTOK- DARJEELING

    Darjeeling (6710 Ft / 2046 Mts,110 Kms / 04 to 05 Hrs drive)

    After breakfast, checkout & then transfer to Darjeeling. On reaching Darjeeling, check in and Overnight at hotel.

    Teesta River Rafting at Melli at additional cost

  7. Day 7 DARJEELING

    Darjeeling (6710 Ft / 2046 Mts)

    Early morning at around 0400am (subject to clear weather) for visit to Tiger Hills (8482 Ft / 2586 Mts) to view the sunrise over mighty Kanchendzonga Peak (Third highest peak in the world). Back to hotel for breakfast.

    After breakfast go for a half-day sightseeing of local Darjeeling covering Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays), Tenzing & Gombu Rock. Panoramic tour of Tea Estate.

    Back to Hotel, Overnight at hotel.

     

    Note:

     Tiger Hill visit is subjected to availability of coupons, as only 600 vehicles are allowed in the morning. In case of non-availability of coupons we will provide the Tiger Hill visit after breakfast.

     

  8. Day 8 DARJEELING - NJP / IXB

    New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) (413 Ft / 126 Mts, 100 Kms / 03 to 04 Hrs drive)

    After breakfast transfer to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB), for onwards connection.

     

    Optional:

    Detour, drive via Mirik Lake (4905 Ft / 1495Mts.)
